# EVO OCEAN vs DinoDex

EVO OCEAN and DinoDex both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 86% of DinoDex's written reviews are positive against 0% of EVO OCEAN's. DinoDex also leads on ratings volume (27 vs 1) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). EVO OCEAN's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 9) and ads (none vs shown). On price, rating and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DinoDex sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. EVO OCEAN asks for nothing beyond the download.

EVO OCEAN holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DinoDex has 27 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of EVO OCEAN's written reviews are positive against 86% of DinoDex's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

EVO OCEAN ships an update every 5 weeks, DinoDex fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
