# Onion Browser vs TOR Web Browser Dark Onion

The clearest difference is monetization model: Onion Browser at freemium against TOR Web Browser Dark Onion's subscription. Onion Browser also leads on rating (4.3 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (13K vs 3.2K). TOR Web Browser Dark Onion's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Both are free to download. Onion Browser sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and TOR Web Browser Dark Onion sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
