# Onion Browser vs Case Tracker +

The clearest difference is monetization model: Onion Browser at freemium against Case Tracker +'s subscription. Onion Browser also leads on review sentiment (49% vs 29%) and ratings volume (13K vs 577). Case Tracker +'s advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Onion Browser sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Case Tracker + sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Case Tracker + holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Onion Browser has 13K ratings behind it against 577, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 49% of Onion Browser's written reviews are positive against 29% of Case Tracker +'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
