# XFR vs TrueData

The clearest difference is review sentiment: TrueData at 100% against XFR's 43%. TrueData also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 35 months). XFR's advantage is ratings volume (825 vs 11) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TrueData holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: XFR has 825 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 43% of XFR's written reviews are positive against 100% of TrueData's.

XFR ships an update every 35 months, TrueData every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
