# NeverMissed vs Whalek

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Whalek at 40% against NeverMissed's 13%. Whalek also leads on update cadence (weekly vs monthly) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). NeverMissed's advantage is rating (4.0 vs 3.6). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NeverMissed holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 179 and 254 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of NeverMissed's written reviews are positive against 40% of Whalek's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NeverMissed ships an update monthly, Whalek weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
