# 雅思哥 vs PTE Alpaca

The clearest difference is ads: 雅思哥 at none against PTE Alpaca's shown. 雅思哥 also leads on review sentiment (84% vs 73%) and ratings volume (191 vs 61). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 雅思哥 sells 22 one-off in-app purchases and PTE Alpaca sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PTE Alpaca holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 191 and 61 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of 雅思哥's written reviews are positive against 73% of PTE Alpaca's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
