# Yote Shin vs Pyone Play

The clearest difference is rating: Pyone Play at 4.6 against Yote Shin's 4.2. Pyone Play also leads on ratings volume (26K vs 1.3K). Yote Shin's advantage is review sentiment (83% vs 57%) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Pyone Play holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pyone Play has 26K ratings behind it against 1.3K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Yote Shin's written reviews are positive against 57% of Pyone Play's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
