# 1st Reporting vs The Ave

The clearest difference is rating: The Ave at 5.0 against 1st Reporting's 3.5. 1st Reporting's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs every 5 weeks) and ratings volume (10 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

The Ave holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 1st Reporting has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
