# Wlingua vs Che

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Che at none against Wlingua's 3. Che also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). Wlingua's advantage is ratings volume (941 vs 2) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 9 days). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wlingua sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Che asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Wlingua against 5.0 for Che. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wlingua has 941 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Wlingua ships an update every 4 days, Che every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and September 19, 2026 respectively.
