# Wlingua vs Speak Spanish

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Wlingua at 946 against Speak Spanish's 5. Wlingua also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wlingua sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and Speak Spanish sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Wlingua against 5.0 for Speak Spanish. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wlingua has 946 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Wlingua ships an update every 3 days, Speak Spanish weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
