# Pro Photo Shoot vs Modelbuk

The clearest difference is monetization model: Modelbuk at freemium against Pro Photo Shoot's subscription. Modelbuk also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.3 vs 4.1). Pro Photo Shoot's advantage is ratings volume (536 vs 3) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pro Photo Shoot sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Modelbuk sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Modelbuk holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pro Photo Shoot has 536 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 32% of Pro Photo Shoot's written reviews are positive against 50% of Modelbuk's.

Pro Photo Shoot ships an update every 10 days, Modelbuk every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
