# NX Lighting Controls vs ILC Pro

The clearest difference is rating: NX Lighting Controls at 3.6 against ILC Pro's 2.0. NX Lighting Controls also leads on ratings volume (27 vs 4) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). ILC Pro's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NX Lighting Controls holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NX Lighting Controls has 27 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

NX Lighting Controls ships an update every 2 months, ILC Pro monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
