# Insight vs YDIS Smart

The clearest difference is update cadence: YDIS Smart at every 3 months against Insight's every 7 months. YDIS Smart also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Insight ships an update every 7 months, YDIS Smart every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
