# MetzRemote vs App2Cam Plus

The clearest difference is rating: MetzRemote at 5.0 against App2Cam Plus's 3.7. App2Cam Plus's advantage is review sentiment (48% vs 12%) and ratings volume (13 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MetzRemote holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: App2Cam Plus has 13 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 12% of MetzRemote's written reviews are positive against 48% of App2Cam Plus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MetzRemote ships an update every 7 months, App2Cam Plus every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on June 28, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
