# COMConnect vs Pyrocast

The clearest difference is rating: COMConnect at 4.6 against Pyrocast's 4.0. Pyrocast's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 41 months) and review sentiment (50% vs 33%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

COMConnect holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 21 and 18 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of COMConnect's written reviews are positive against 50% of Pyrocast's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

COMConnect ships an update every 41 months, Pyrocast every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
