# FreshSchools vs SchoolPass

The clearest difference is review sentiment: FreshSchools at 100% against SchoolPass's 20%. FreshSchools also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). SchoolPass's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 2.7) and ratings volume (4.9K vs 10). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SchoolPass holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SchoolPass has 4.9K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of FreshSchools's written reviews are positive against 20% of SchoolPass's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
