# Simplilearn vs Saylor Academy

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Saylor Academy at none against Simplilearn's 10. Saylor Academy also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). Simplilearn's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 9 months) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 50). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simplilearn sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Saylor Academy asks for nothing beyond the download.

Saylor Academy holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simplilearn has 1.1K ratings behind it against 50, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 42% and 43% positive.

Simplilearn ships an update monthly, Saylor Academy every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
