# IntensityWifi vs AC Remote

The clearest difference is rating: AC Remote at 4.5 against IntensityWifi's 3.0. AC Remote also leads on ratings volume (199 vs 1). IntensityWifi's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AC Remote sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. IntensityWifi asks for nothing beyond the download.

AC Remote holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AC Remote has 199 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of IntensityWifi's written reviews are positive against 20% of AC Remote's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

IntensityWifi ships an update every 4 months, AC Remote every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
