# HideMe! vs Bitdefender VPN

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Bitdefender VPN at 14K against HideMe!'s 1. Bitdefender VPN also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.6). HideMe!'s advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HideMe! sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Bitdefender VPN sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

HideMe! holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bitdefender VPN has 14K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

HideMe! ships an update weekly, Bitdefender VPN every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
