# HideMe! vs Calculator AppLock

The clearest difference is monetization model: HideMe! at freemium against Calculator AppLock's subscription. HideMe! also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks). Calculator AppLock's advantage is ratings volume (568 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HideMe! sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Calculator AppLock sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

HideMe! holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calculator AppLock has 568 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

HideMe! ships an update weekly, Calculator AppLock every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 15, 2026.
