# Notions Task Manager vs Nutshell

The clearest difference is rating: Nutshell at 4.0 against Notions Task Manager's 3.6. Nutshell also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks) and ratings volume (33 vs 5). Notions Task Manager's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 18). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notions Task Manager sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 3 months and Nutshell sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Nutshell holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nutshell has 33 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Notions Task Manager ships an update every 2 weeks, Nutshell weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 25, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
