# Couch vs Eddy

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Eddy at 100% against Couch's 52%. Eddy also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Couch's advantage is ratings volume (25 vs 2). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Couch sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Eddy asks for nothing beyond the download.

Eddy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Couch has 25 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 52% of Couch's written reviews are positive against 100% of Eddy's.

Couch ships an update fortnightly, Eddy every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
