# Countdown vs Countdown°

The clearest difference is ads: Countdown at none against Countdown°'s shown. Countdown also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). Countdown°'s advantage is ratings volume (24K vs 162) and rating (4.8 vs 4.6). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Countdown° sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Countdown° holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Countdown° has 24K ratings behind it against 162, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 70% of Countdown's written reviews are positive against 82% of Countdown°'s.

Countdown ships an update fortnightly, Countdown° every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
