# Alarmhandler security system vs UniCam

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Alarmhandler security system at 100% against UniCam's 33%. Alarmhandler security system also leads on iOS requirement (12.4 vs 15.0). UniCam's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.0) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Alarmhandler security system sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $11.49 per year and UniCam sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

UniCam holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UniCam has 50 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Alarmhandler security system's written reviews are positive against 33% of UniCam's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Alarmhandler security system ships an update every 3 months, UniCam fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
