# Malincho vs Wild Fork

The clearest difference is update cadence: Wild Fork at weekly against Malincho's every 2 months. Wild Fork also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (7.4K vs 65). Malincho's advantage is review sentiment (60% vs 43%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Wild Fork holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wild Fork has 7.4K ratings behind it against 65, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Malincho's written reviews are positive against 43% of Wild Fork's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Malincho ships an update every 2 months, Wild Fork weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 16, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
