# The WOD Generator vs WOD Machine

The clearest difference is ads: The WOD Generator at none against WOD Machine's shown. The WOD Generator also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 11 months) and ratings volume (1.7K vs 2). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The WOD Generator sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per month and WOD Machine sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for The WOD Generator against 5.0 for WOD Machine. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The WOD Generator has 1.7K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
