# iSmokeHog vs FireBoard®

The clearest difference is monetization model: iSmokeHog at free against FireBoard®'s paid. iSmokeHog also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 72%) and iOS requirement (7.0 vs 16.6). FireBoard®'s advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.3) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 39 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FireBoard® holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FireBoard® has 5.8K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of iSmokeHog's written reviews are positive against 72% of FireBoard®'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iSmokeHog ships an update every 39 months, FireBoard® every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
