# iSmokeHog vs TempPro BBQ

The clearest difference is review sentiment: iSmokeHog at 100% against TempPro BBQ's 54%. iSmokeHog also leads on iOS requirement (7.0 vs 10.0). TempPro BBQ's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 39 months) and rating (4.7 vs 4.3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TempPro BBQ holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TempPro BBQ has 26K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of iSmokeHog's written reviews are positive against 54% of TempPro BBQ's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iSmokeHog ships an update every 39 months, TempPro BBQ monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
