# LED Paint 2 vs OpenPic

The clearest difference is price: OpenPic at Free against LED Paint 2's $0.99. OpenPic also leads on rating (4.7 vs 3.7) and update cadence (weekly vs every 40 months). LED Paint 2's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 38%) and in-app purchases (none vs 3). On ads there is nothing between them.

OpenPic is free to download; LED Paint 2 costs $0.99 up front. OpenPic sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. LED Paint 2 asks for nothing beyond the download.

OpenPic holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OpenPic has 349 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of LED Paint 2's written reviews are positive against 38% of OpenPic's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LED Paint 2 ships an update every 40 months, OpenPic weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
