# Pitch trainer vs EarForge

The clearest difference is ads: EarForge at none against Pitch trainer's shown. Pitch trainer's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pitch trainer sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and EarForge sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

EarForge holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 415 and 292 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of Pitch trainer's written reviews are positive against 63% of EarForge's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pitch trainer ships an update every 4 days, EarForge every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
