# HourTracker vs TranscribeAI

The clearest difference is price: TranscribeAI at Free against HourTracker's $6.99. TranscribeAI also leads on review sentiment (44% vs 0%) and ratings volume (58 vs 1). HourTracker's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 3.7) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

TranscribeAI is free to download; HourTracker costs $6.99 up front. HourTracker sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per month and TranscribeAI sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

HourTracker holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TranscribeAI has 58 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of HourTracker's written reviews are positive against 44% of TranscribeAI's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

HourTracker ships an update every 5 days, TranscribeAI every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
