# Pancake vs Falling Ballz

The clearest difference is update cadence: Falling Ballz at every 11 days against Pancake's every 3 months. Falling Ballz also leads on rating (4.4 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (9.4K vs 843). Pancake's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 54%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Falling Ballz holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Falling Ballz has 9.4K ratings behind it against 843, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Pancake's written reviews are positive against 54% of Falling Ballz's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pancake ships an update every 3 months, Falling Ballz every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
