# Pancake vs Jailbreak!

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Pancake at none against Jailbreak!'s 1. Pancake also leads on ratings volume (841 vs 243). Jailbreak!'s advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months) and rating (4.5 vs 4.2). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Jailbreak! sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Pancake asks for nothing beyond the download.

Jailbreak! holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 841 and 243 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Pancake's written reviews are positive against 60% of Jailbreak!'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pancake ships an update every 3 months, Jailbreak! weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
