# Off Limits! Word Party Game vs Taboo

The clearest difference is price: Off Limits! Word Party Game at Free against Taboo's $1.99. Off Limits! Word Party Game also leads on review sentiment (66% vs 37%) and update cadence (every 10 days vs monthly). Taboo's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.9 vs 4.5). On ratings volume, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Off Limits! Word Party Game is free to download; Taboo costs $1.99 up front. Off Limits! Word Party Game sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Taboo sells 26 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Taboo holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2.2K and 4.7K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of Off Limits! Word Party Game's written reviews are positive against 37% of Taboo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Off Limits! Word Party Game ships an update every 10 days, Taboo monthly. Both last shipped on October 19, 2026.
