# Prodigy vs Takeout Sort

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Prodigy at 86% against Takeout Sort's 50%. Prodigy also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.4 vs 4.0). Takeout Sort's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Prodigy sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Takeout Sort sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Prodigy holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Prodigy has 29 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 86% of Prodigy's written reviews are positive against 50% of Takeout Sort's.

Prodigy ships an update fortnightly, Takeout Sort every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on September 12, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
