# Focus To vs Google Tasks

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Google Tasks at none against Focus To's 3. Google Tasks also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks) and chart position (#92 vs unranked). Focus To's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 65%) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, rating and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focus To sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Google Tasks asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Focus To against 4.8 for Google Tasks. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Google Tasks has 107K ratings behind it against 15K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 80% of Focus To's written reviews are positive against 65% of Google Tasks's.

Focus To ships an update every 5 weeks, Google Tasks weekly. Both last shipped on October 17, 2026.
