# Wayback vs Moonlight Drive

The clearest difference is rating: Wayback at 4.8 against Moonlight Drive's 2.0. Wayback also leads on ratings volume (15K vs 1). Moonlight Drive's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Wayback holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wayback has 15K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Wayback ships an update every 3 months, Moonlight Drive every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
