# Power Focus vs Smart Sloth

The clearest difference is rating: Power Focus at 4.7 against Smart Sloth's 4.1. Power Focus also leads on ratings volume (457 vs 33). Smart Sloth's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Power Focus sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Smart Sloth sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Power Focus holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Power Focus has 457 ratings behind it against 33, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of Power Focus's written reviews are positive against 73% of Smart Sloth's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Power Focus ships an update every 4 months, Smart Sloth every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
