# Cryptogram Tale vs Cryptogram Deluxe

Cryptogram Tale and Cryptogram Deluxe both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 72% of Cryptogram Tale's written reviews are positive against 20% of Cryptogram Deluxe's. Cryptogram Tale also leads on update cadence (every 3 months vs every 10 months) and ratings volume (1.6K vs 180). Cryptogram Deluxe's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.1). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cryptogram Tale sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Cryptogram Deluxe sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
