# Alfred Camera vs Security Camera

The clearest difference is ads: Security Camera at none against Alfred Camera's shown. Security Camera also leads on review sentiment (74% vs 53%). Alfred Camera's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (112K vs 163). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Alfred Camera sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Security Camera sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Alfred Camera holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Alfred Camera has 112K ratings behind it against 163, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of Alfred Camera's written reviews are positive against 74% of Security Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Alfred Camera ships an update every 8 days, Security Camera every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
