# Cafe Rio vs Swig Drinks

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Swig Drinks at 66% against Cafe Rio's 6%. Swig Drinks also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and chart position (#150 vs unranked). Cafe Rio's advantage is ratings volume (15K vs 550) and rating (4.4 vs 4.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Cafe Rio holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cafe Rio has 15K ratings behind it against 550, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 6% of Cafe Rio's written reviews are positive against 66% of Swig Drinks's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cafe Rio ships an update fortnightly, Swig Drinks every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
