# SoulCycle vs Instruct

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SoulCycle at none against Instruct's 2. SoulCycle also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (90K vs 6). Instruct's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 69%) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Instruct sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. SoulCycle asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for SoulCycle against 5.0 for Instruct. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SoulCycle has 90K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 69% of SoulCycle's written reviews are positive against 100% of Instruct's.

SoulCycle ships an update every 5 days, Instruct every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
