# KeePass Touch vs ALE Rainbow

The clearest difference is rating: ALE Rainbow at 4.5 against KeePass Touch's 3.7. ALE Rainbow also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4). KeePass Touch's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly) and review sentiment (56% vs 45%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. KeePass Touch sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. ALE Rainbow asks for nothing beyond the download.

ALE Rainbow holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: KeePass Touch has 342 ratings behind it against 62, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of KeePass Touch's written reviews are positive against 45% of ALE Rainbow's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

KeePass Touch ships an update every 5 days, ALE Rainbow fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
