# Zaro's vs Vineyard Grocer

The clearest difference is monetization model: Vineyard Grocer at free against Zaro's's free with in-app purchases. Vineyard Grocer also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Zaro's's advantage is ratings volume (339 vs 3) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Vineyard Grocer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Zaro's has 339 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Zaro's ships an update every 3 weeks, Vineyard Grocer every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
