# Diary Locked vs Diary With Password

The clearest difference is rating: Diary With Password at 4.5 against Diary Locked's 3.2. Diary With Password also leads on ratings volume (85 vs 5). Diary Locked's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 12) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Diary With Password sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Diary Locked asks for nothing beyond the download.

Diary With Password holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Diary With Password has 85 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Diary Locked's written reviews are positive against 47% of Diary With Password's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
