# Workplace vs Redtail CRM

The clearest difference is rating: Redtail CRM at 4.6 against Workplace's 3.1. Redtail CRM also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (675 vs 22). Workplace's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Redtail CRM holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Redtail CRM has 675 ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 70% and 71% positive.

Workplace ships an update every 2 months, Redtail CRM fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
