# eTrack Locate vs CWTraffic

The clearest difference is rating: CWTraffic at 4.9 against eTrack Locate's 4.2. CWTraffic also leads on ratings volume (2.7K vs 5) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.6). eTrack Locate's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 41%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CWTraffic holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CWTraffic has 2.7K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of eTrack Locate's written reviews are positive against 41% of CWTraffic's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
