# Paste vs Nitro PDF Pro

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Paste at 53% against Nitro PDF Pro's 13%. Paste also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and rating (4.2 vs 3.9). Nitro PDF Pro's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Paste sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Nitro PDF Pro sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Paste holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Paste has 1.3K ratings behind it against 161, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 53% of Paste's written reviews are positive against 13% of Nitro PDF Pro's.

Paste ships an update weekly, Nitro PDF Pro every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 18, 2026.
