# Paste vs XClip

The clearest difference is rating: XClip at 4.9 against Paste's 4.2. XClip also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and review sentiment (83% vs 53%). Paste's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 12) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Paste sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and XClip sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

XClip holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Paste has 1.3K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 53% of Paste's written reviews are positive against 83% of XClip's.

Paste ships an update weekly, XClip every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
