# Rewind vs Time Tracker

The clearest difference is monetization model: Rewind at free with in-app purchases against Time Tracker's subscription. Time Tracker's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 5 months) and review sentiment (64% vs 49%). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rewind sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Time Tracker sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Rewind against 4.5 for Time Tracker. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 246 and 113 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 49% of Rewind's written reviews are positive against 64% of Time Tracker's.

Rewind ships an update every 5 months, Time Tracker weekly. Both last shipped on October 2, 2026.
